My music director Christopher Marlowe's relocation to Palm Springs two years ago helped me make significant strides with my singing career. We started off with a Les Michaels produced show in November 2009 to an SRO crowd of 120 people. The overwhelming response led to performing my solo show to another sold out crowd at a lovely Mother's Day event at the beautiful Rancho Mirage Public Library in May 2010. I then followed it up with another Les Michaels produced performance of my show at the Arthur Newman Theatre in Palm Desert in August 2010. The Arthur Newman show led to another SRO performance at Rancho Mirage's Mirage Inn in November 2010. My next February 2011 performance was as a guest artist in Steven Brinberg's wonderful Simply Barbra show at Blame It On Midnight in Palm Springs and again at the Arthur Newman Theatre. In March 2011, I reached one of my goals by performing my solo show at The Gardenia Supper Club in Los Angeles. I am now preparing to return to my NYC home of 15 years to perform my show at the highly respected Metropolitan Room on July 6th at 7pm.

A good friend recently reminded me that I'd not written anything in my journal in a very long time. So this will attempt to inform you of the highlights of the recent past and notify you of upcoming events.

Musically speaking, the biggest event was my concert at the Joslyn Theatre in Palm Desert, California, at the end of June 2007 as part of their Sizzlin' Summer Series. My brilliant music director and close friend, Christopher Marlowe, traveled from New York City to do the show with me. As always, having Chris at the piano is every singer's dream come true. We've worked together for several years and have developed a tight music camaraderie and partnership. I always feel so supported and in such good hands with Christ which helps me to relax and perform at my best. We put together a very nice show that included familiar standards, comedy/novelty songs, a few dramatic moments and some highlights form my CD's. The audience was very enthusiastic and I had the time of my life. Chris is know for being one of the best arranges in the music business. Doing an entire show with him playing his own arrangements was quite a thrill. I was so grateful to have Kaye Ballard and Alix Korey in the audience. Both of them gave me very kind and generous compliments after the show. I had my good friend, Patricia, record the show with my little inexpensive camcorder. I've placed the individual songs on YouTube and MySpace, which gives you an idea of the great time we all had that day. The entire show, without cuts, is in the Videos section of this website.

My dear aforementioned friend, Patricia, has done a complete overhaul of my website and she came through with flying colors. I can never thank her enough for her dedication and for her quick response to any project. Fortunately the close proximity of my business and her home helps during a computer-related emergency.
